Jack, As far as I know, that should be a 150v zener, the ECG5100A. What part did you pull out of the old unit? I can't imagine this set working with the ECG570. support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx FAX 717-564-4952 Jeff Dougherty Intrepid Video & Electronics Be careful of your thoughts. 501 Luther Rd They may become your words Harrisburg, PA 17111 any moment. 717-909-8844 VCR tips, electronics info & general interest. www.intrepid-video.com www.tech-repair.net www.thetoolcaddy.com www.9-11-2001tragedy.com *********************************************************************** ----- Original Message ----- From: "jac" <jac@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, December 26, 2002 10:20 PM Subject: [TechAssist] Symphonic TV/VCR MD. TVCR13F1 PS Problem D-624 in PS shorted. Numbers on diode are R2M. This crossed to ECG 570, an avalanche diode, VRM-130V. I did a price check on this diode at Tritronics and it showed $17.++. I have a PS just like it that I stuck in the set and everything else works ok. I checked D-624 in my PS and the numbers on it were1Z150. I crossed that to an ECG5100A. That is a Zener diode 150volt, 1W. The ID. numbers on both boards are the same. Could anyone tell me what the difference is and which diode would be the best to replace the bad one with?
