Jack, So what your saying is that you have two identical PS's with two different diodes in the same place D624, that doesn't make any sense at all. Are you sure the PS's are identical, cause if they are you already have the answer to your question. I have a PS just like it that I stuck in the set and everything else works ok. I checked D-624 in my PS and the numbers on it were1Z150. I crossed that to an ECG5100A. That is a Zener diode 150volt, 1W. The ID. numbers on both boards are the same. Could anyone tell me what the difference is and which diode would be the best to replace the bad one with?
