some one tell me if i'm wrong on this?
I don't think you can see if your cd is on in cmos?
your computor detected it on setup,your setup disk
turned it on? and now you have problem on primary
drive (yellow !) and no cd, I think its there ,
just delete and reboot let win 98 find them????

ps do you have same cable connected to both hd&cd
if you do and hd is in middle and cd is on the end of
cable,try them the other way?
