Well, that narrows it down about a thousand motherboards! <laughs> You need the model # of the board to get the drivers for it. Did you try what I suggested? (removing the device then changing the bios a few times like I said then restarting?) Model # of the board would be on it somewhere, just have to look good. -Clint God Bless Us All Clint Hamilton, Owner http://OrpheusComputing.com sales@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fax: 209-882-9602 TechAssist Administration http://tech-assist.org techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx 4orpheus@xxxxxxxxxxxxx (alternates) orpheuscomputing@xxxxxxxxx pchardware@xxxxxxxxxxxx (PLEASE include previous correspondence if replying to this email!!) ----- Original Message ----- From: "tom lee" <t8872695@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, October 31, 2001 8:30 AM Subject: [TechAssist] Re: Question about computer Hello Clint. The mother board is china made. WINBOND , VIA chipset. The detail of IDE controller has ! yellow said error code 10 , "this device is not present, or not working properly,or does not have all drivers installed. Try upgrading device driver for this device." I do not know what to do from here. I have standard cd . and win98 is installed from this cd drive.does machine need driver if cd drive is standard.?
