[TechAssist] Re: Envision 15" Panel computer monitor, EN-LM500

Yes I did monitor the P/S and there was no change when the video was
flashing off and on. It does sound like the micro may be at fault for
the pwr switch problem. How do I know if it is the back-light turning
off and on, causing the video to flash off and on? TIA

Kevin, All kidding aside, sometimes a "gentle" tap will causes an
intermittent to act up, the hard part is finding it. Were you able to
monitor the PS when the unit was turning on and off? Was it the
back-light
that was turning on and off or was the entire unit shutting down? Not
being
able to turn the unit off once in a while may indicate a micro problem.
These monitors aren't very servicable, all those VLSI chips inside and
all,
good luck.

We use a 10 pound sledge. Just a lite tap usually does it.
