Just going back to the intergreen extension on a single lamp failure, I
agree with Dick that there is no logic to it. That was why a number of us
pressed to get the spec changed some years back - so that it now says: "..
shall be possible if called for in the Works Specification" and: ".. may
be extended up to a value of 5 seconds...". So it is clearly an optional
facility, so as it causes everyone so much bother, why not simply opt not
to do it (like Leeds and no doubt others do) ?
