The list is open to all those interested in traffic control matters who work for, or on behalf of, highway authorities in the UK. Generally all those who are eligible to attend the County Surveyor's Society Traffic Systems Group (formerly the TCUG), including employees of consultants who provide traffic control services on behalf of highway authorities. At the moment the list is not open to manufacturers and suppliers.

To subscribe to the list send an e-mail to peter.bull [AT] sheffield.gov.uk saying who you are and which authority you work for. There is no limit to the number of people who may subscribe from any one authority.

To send a message to the list, address it to tcug@freelists.org it will be automatically mailed to all subscribers. You can use the list to ask questions of the UK traffic control community, to provide information, or just to make a comment. Please bear in mind that you will be sending a message which will be seen by a lot of people, so keep it legal, decent and honest.

To answer a question, or send a comment, just reply to the message you've received; then everybody will get a chance to see your contribution.

To minimise load on the server which provides this service for free please use only plain text and note that you cannot add attachments to messages. If you want to refer people to documents please provide an e-mail contact, or, even better, a web page address from which they can be downloaded.
