But have you seen the way they (we) drive in London? There's a world of difference between "the smoke" and Surrey, let alone "The South" and "The North" For instance, do you guys still use "late starts" rather than "early cut-offs"? Surely it's a matter of what is the right layout for each specific junction? We use a variety of layouts and have seen substantial accident reductions at (some) sites with close associated secondary signals - the problem comes when drivers expect to see signals on the far side of the junction and don't. Expect the number of complaints to rise - we have.
