Wow! That is awesome. Just spent an hour on the phone trying to get the
internet up and I'm glad I did! The windshield wiper switch with knob and the
turn signal knob are all I need.
The ones I had cleaned up real nice with Murphy's Oil Soap and a brush. I'm
sure they will work just fine. I have a good idea what they cost from searching
the Samba today and will get ya back in Fred. Thanks a million!

James:  I have in my hand as we speak one ivory turn signal knob and one 59
wiper switch with ivory knob.  Switch appears to work from a mechanical
standpoint, and the way these things are made should work electrically though
may need some clean up work on the contacts.  It does have the correct screw
connectors.  The turn signal knob needs some major clean up work and may have
to be repainted to look really nice.  It has what appears to be a fine hairline
crack around it but may be a manufacturing line.  The knob on the wiper switch
would clean up pretty nice for a used original but might look better painted.
If will send me your mailing address I will mail them to you tomorrow.  Before
I do, do you need any other knobs, like for the light switch or the radio?  I
have some of both.  You can pay me
whatever you think they are worth when you see me in Fredericksburg or the
next time you see me.  The only thing I ask is that if you don't use them
please return them.  I once gave a guy some parts for his bus and the next time
I saw him he was selling them in a swap meet.  The last time I saw him he was
swinging from a rope under an old oak tree.

I just happened to have some extra turn signal knobs, and I can fix you up with
all the light/wiper knobs you want.  I think I have a wiper switch that I took
out of a 59 panel van but I am going to have to look.  Get back with you in a
bit.  On the knobs, you are probably going to want to paint them to make them
look perfect, but you may be satisfied with a good clean up.

That would be awesome. I am looking for the oval turn signal knob on the end of
the stick, the windshield wiper switch and knob. All ivory. I was just notified
that I am looking for a link pin bearing. Any leads on that would also be
greatly appreciated otherwise Jay will have to remove his suspension and take
his off the road.

What kind of dash knobs do you want?  I have a supply of originals, some of
which would clean up nice, all of which would paint up to look excellent,
either white or black.  I may even have an old wiper switch, I will look if you
want.

It's outta my hands. I am done with everything except for tracking down a few
dash knobs, a windshield wiper switch and trimming and sculpting the bumper
trim inserts.
Engine is at Doug's and the body guy is behind

this point I am very nervous.

It was nice to get out.   The weather cooperated and the cars looked great.
The bus line was a bit "bare" so we'll have to fill that in for next year.

Unfortunately I couldn't stay and had to meander up North to handle things for
my Father.  Next year, I'll commit to bringing a couple of dubs.  ;-)
