My bus is a Splitty, so I have no idea what your Bay needs. Dan Martin and
Ronnie and lots of Bay people here could help better than I.

Denis have you had the opportunity to test this sealer on the rear hatch?

He's trying to seal up the rear hatch on a '70 BAY. That Bay rear hatch
seal is the only one that you can't find a Brazilian replacement for.
Even the new Brazilian buses have an $80 German seal on the rear hatch.

It has a metal strip molded in to help it stay in place in a shallow
open "U" channel that runs at the bottom of the hatch and keep it formed
    around the latch pin indentation.

I guess the Brazilian VW rubber manufacturers can't make that cheap
enough for people to find the abysmal quality acceptable.

"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cheshire Cat:
"we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
