I  have a friend who has a sheltie who does not bark.   The breeder 
went to great lengths to breed shelties that are not incessant barkers 
and she succeeded - She's somewhere in WI I think.
This is not a BYB sheltie.  She has the most gorgeous full coat I've 
ever seen and seems to be a true herder.     Anne, TN
