That is one option, But I think the question was to use an existing turntable with RCA jacks as opposed to one with a newer USB.My vinyl is all gone now. All digital, except for my Rollei. :-)On Mon, Jul 13, 2009 at 4:44 PM, Mark Rabiner <mark@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: - the turntables they advertise now say at Best Buy have a USB cord coming out the back of them which could make that a tad easier more direct perhapswho knows?I did transfer a few record cuts and tape cuts to my computer for my ITUNES and ipod I forgot how I did it it was 7 years ago. It was not with just just mentioned USB direct set up my turntable was just a few years before that.I thought I"d get a turntable for 99 buck I got a 99 dollar Sony But then I had to get a decent tone arm and that was another 99 But then I had to get a good needle and that was another 99.Which proved I didn't have to pay 100 dollars for getting my vinyl into myipod. I have a Mac.You don't want to space out because then you have a filled up hard disk. You have to pay attention and not leave the room. I may have used Toast.
