I thought it was introduced years earlier. What was different on the 1967? A permanent take up reel? I found loading the film from the bottom ludicrous. Especially when the alleged sturdiness contradicted the loading method on the R. For me it was a PITA and another reason not to use the M. Peter K (Not a Leica fan.)
