I think you may have hit upon a new aspect - the No.4 in the list of
reasons to do photography.
Taking into account your neighbour and his Disney balloon - and the fact
that I was passed on the Freeway by Santa Claus in a silver Toyota last week -
I think we have what we may define as the Whoa Nellie Factor.
I used to keep a cheap camera in the center console of the car for just
these urban moments. It was stolen in one of those other urban moments, and I
lost a wonderful set of negatives of the District Attorney committing traffic
infringements in his Saab sportscar. I had planned to send the prints to the
newspaper.
