I remembered you said a few mins ago to want > to develop a style, so I gave you advice how to do that... > for my presentations, I have used Ppt for a very long time. What I liked there most was the ability to place figures wherever I wanted them to appear. Recently, a year ago, I started using beamer. Recently, I decided to change to powerpoint. A few days ago, I begun defining my own template -- when I asked for the image scaling -- that modifies powerdot-simple.sty. In that style, I managed to define the title-slide as well as a figure for top- and bottom-left-corners. With ASCII-Art, the style looks now as: +----------------------------------------------------------+ | Logo1 | Title | +----------------------------------------------------------+ | | | | ToC | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Text Area | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | +----------- + | Logo2 | No/Tot.| +----------------------------------------------------------+ To support the audience, I would like to place figures at exactly specified locations within that text area. Nearly every slide has its own set of figures that may reside at various places depending on the text flow. What I believe to have understood, so far, is that I can define a template for each of the different slides. What I would like to have is the ability to place a figure wherever I want to within the Text Area. Specifying the exact location of a figure would allow me to have other presentation elements like arrows etc. put in a subsequent slide.... And therefore my question: how can I achieve this needed feature most easily? Please let me know if this explanation clarified my intention.
