All hotpop is, is what I call a "passthrough" email server. I use it for all my high-graphic stationery lists because it has a large "holding tank". Everything comes through. It delivers through the hotpop server and direct into your Outlook Express. (Or Mailwasher, as I use to filter prior to my Inbox). when you set up your account it will tell you onsite how to configure your OE Tools/Accounts smtp and pop server addresses. I used to use MailAndNews, but they stopped being a free service, which is why I switched to hotpop. ~Lu ----- Original Message ----- From: cris To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, September 12, 2003 11:39 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: Temporary E-Mail does it come in and forward to OE in HTML ? or just plain text? thanks!! I can both send and receive hotpop through my regular outlook express accounts, and my home address is not revealed to lists. ~Lu ----- Original Message ----- From: The Keyboard Cowboy To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, September 11, 2003 10:48 PM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: Temporary E-Mail You can use a temporary E-Mail address like: http://jetable.org/ I haven't tried it but I suppose your real addy will show in the headers....not sure. test it on yourself first. It can be set for hours, or up to eight days before it self destructs.
