I have an external drive which I did plan to put all files and folders on. I have never backed up a registry before. When reformatting, should you run a program to wipe files or just do a reformat to truly clean it? I think I will switch my memory around too or order one more stick, I never finished up on my memory prob with this computer. I did add more but after switching sticks around, found it ran slower than it did with an ealier arrangement. Also my CD-RW drive does not work on this one but will just use the new one christy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gman" <gman.pctt@xxxxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, February 28, 2009 3:44 PM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: New Laptop > When cleaning up an older system, back up everything you wish to save and > then wipe/reinstall Windows.
