well - that is possible for sure! Right now california is a comedian's dream come true! They'd like to 'recall' the mayer of the city near me!! and I hope nothing happens to the pennsylvania do not call list - at least I have that one! I liked the idea that they would no longer be able to come in as unknown caller - so you could have proof of who they were. right now, in pa, you need the information to do anything - they don't provide it, they're instructed to just hang up. not as many calls are made - but they still are. I heard what the calif. governor said the other day - I don't know if it was publicized out of context - or as he said it - something like California has many people from planets all over the earth. Do you know what that was about? Jay Leno showed him actually saying it - and then Jay said - shows the alien problem is much worse out here than we previously thought - ----- Original Message ----- From: kg6ocz To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, September 24, 2003 4:43 PM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: National 'Do Not Call' Register now defunct LOL and considering what we are going thru with this #$%^ recall thing about the GOV? you don't think that almost everything won't get pulled apart like that? lets recall that. lets recall this...u huh... ----- Original Message ----- From: "cris" <cris@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, September 24, 2003 12:54 PM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: National 'Do Not Call' Register now defunct > boy - this is really a disappointment. I heard something last night - an interview I thought with a telemarketer, and they said they thought it was fine as long as it allowed them to continue calling 'known' business associates - like that scam they were pulling with post cards in contests etc. - > I hope it gets worked out and goes into effect! > I heard this morning that California passed a no spam law!!!!
