1. there is only one spot to download the 64 bit file from.

2. when i go to control panel>system, i don't see that. i take it
you mean the general tab? i could have sworn i have seen it
somewhere that says this is a 64 bit system, but now i don't know
where i saw it.....grrrr.

3. i don't see anything about there being a bug.

previously i had installed the 32 bit version and it only showed
the thumbnails for paint shop pro files from version 7....all the newer
files names as in verison 9 and above only show as the psp icon still.

another thing..........when i go to the download page, there is a box
at the top that says "you appear 2 b running windows XP or newer,
32-bit edition. recommended download" and then it has the one to
download that i had installed previously.

how do they know i have 32 or 64 bit??

i'm running xp pro sp 3 my pc is HP dc5800 Business Desktop PC,
it's intel core 2 duo. I just found the specs for my pc and it
shows this: Intel® Extended Memory 64 Technology - does
this mean 64 bit?

i used to run this program on my old Me machine and newer
had a problem..........i guess i was using the 32-bit version, but
all file names from psp 7 and 9 up showed up perfectly.

here's the link to the specs on my pc.....maybe someone
call tell me if it's 64 bit from this, otherwise where else on
my pc would it tell me that?

thanks for all the help.

I can think of three possibilities:

1. The download button was linked to the wrong file (return to the
website and try to get to the file following a different trail and
confirm the filename and size match the one you downloaded)

2. You are not running a 64-bit OS. (Go to Control Panel > System to
verify your are running a 64-bit version. It will say so on the opening
page of the window)

3. There is a bug in the 64-bit version. (Go to the website and look
for bug reports or user forums and search for bugs or topics on the problem)
