Thanks for the clarification on this, Don. Could also have been installed by 
the dealer because I bought the Windows 7 laptop last fall 
pre-opened/pre-set-up by the dealer that included a set of system restore disks 
prepared by the dealer's own geek squad, since I was informed by them--and this 
might be news to some who haven't yet gone to Windows 7--that manufacturers 
generally no longer include restore disks with a new computer (or at least PCs; 
don't know if that applies to Macs). I guess I could add that, along with the 
general lack of printed documentation, to my list of reasons to grouse about 
the state of the industry, but you guys might get the idea that I'm One Big 
Whiner (or growler)!!

Also, for what it's worth, from what I've been able to pick up from discussions 
on the Web, Outlook Express will not work with Windows 7 (which I consider 
malevolent on the part of MS), which is really too bad 'cuz I agree with a lot 
of folks that it was generally a pretty good program.
