I don't - but I close whatever other stuff I have open - like my mail, and IE. Also - for some reason, on my computer, if someone changes screen names (winXP), the cd won't finish burning. So we sit and wait for it to burn and do nothing else. I'm betting it depends on your system. But it only takes like 7 minutes to burn (on average) a cd on my burner, and yours is new, so it probably burns faster than that.
