Spider, DSL is relatively easy to set up. Look through the kit for some inline filters that you'll need to install on every line that goes to a phone, answering machine, fax, etc., even if they're in different rooms or floors. If you don't have enough filters, you'll need to call up the new DSL provider and request as many as you think you'll need. We had plenty for our setup. Once the filters are in place, just connect a splitter to the phone jack (on the wall or baseboard) and run a phone wire from there to the modem. The other jack can then be connected to a filter and used to supply dial tone to a phone for your computer desk. :O) Finally, you'll need to install a network interface card (NIC), connect the modem to the NIC and configure the network settings as shown in the DSL kit's booklet. This is just a quick overview of the process. The precise instructions will come with the kit and you should follow them to the letter.
