   Thanks, OS is ME, that was a good thought. Disable fast shutdown is set.
I did catch a software BIOS upgrade on the HP site which would you believe
it is dated 1/22/04 and it applies to my system. I downloaded that and will
install it to see if it takes care of the problem.
