They lifted it in around 7 o'clock this morning which would've been 4 o'clock
in California. At least they finally did. But the buses are all up and running
yet. They're still trying to clean stuff out. Then of course Tuesday they're
going to predict rain. Oh yuck what a mess that's going to turn into two. And I
have therapy on Wednesday. Then I fell asleep on the couch and I got a call
from the Mormon missionaries. They want to come over here. Well here's what I'm
going to tell them. You can come over here and help me pack and stuff and help
me do stuff around the apartment. But we're not going to talk religion. If you
want to talk to me about coming back to the Mormon church you can basically
leave. I need help with stuff when I don't need that stuff shoved down my
throat. That's exactly what I'm going to tell them. If they don't like it oh
well too bad. I'm going to tell them OK I need to help with stuff why can't you
find people that can help me instead of wasting my time with the book of
Mormon. I need stuff done before the surgery and afterwards. That's exactly
what I'm going to tell them and if that's being rude oh well. But you need to
put your foot down sometime. If these people claim that there really
Christiansen they want to help people let them step up to the plate and not act
like hypocrites. That's the one thing that drives me crazy. People help you but
only if you believe their way. And that's what really gets me going.

We did know that they were way east and south of Phoenix, but were headed
north. So, then later, we’re sitting in the Verizon store and everyone’s
cell phone alert went off. It was absolutely crazy. About 100 of them, if
you consider the phones they have out for display in the store and the
place was packed with customers. Very noisy.

Well I guess I didn't know I had the alerts. Boo-hoo it was a thing loud
when it went off. I didn't think Siri would read it. But maybe the next
time that happens I'll just let it go. I wasn't really sure what to do with
it. But now I know. In no way would I want to witness a duststorm. W scary
experience. Snowstorms with Highwinds are bad enough because it's hard to
get around. But it does storm no thank you. I'm glad we don't have those. I
would not want to be in one either.

Well just storms. I would not want to witness one of those. I wouldn't
want to go out in one either. Not fun. I guess when you get those you're
pretty much housebound until it's finished. I don't think I want to have

Well usually just thank her for the food and that's it. Actually I just
heard them in the hall. They have one of those small dogs and I heard
it's leash. So she's in the hall somewhere. But that's OK. Anyway I do
speak with her and I try to be civil. But on this matter I basically put
her in her place. She needed to have that happen. But anyway let's put
it this way. I just been laying around listening to QVC. Last night I
started a book and fell asleep I was listening to it. And it was on
cassette not digital and I got an emergency go work on my iPhone but I
didn't know how to read it. Wow I had no idea I had that setting. But I
guess when they impose the travel ban it went out. Boy it was his huge
loud tone and I couldn't get it to stop.
But now I know how to do that so that's OK. But I couldn't get the
iPhone to read the alert. I finally found out later how to do it but I
guess if I would've experimented I would've figured it out but I just
wanted to tell him to be quiet.

Kathleen, I second what Rosie says. Don't give that neighbor your
time of day
except to thank him or her for bringing food over to you. Just tell
that person
"I'm going to talk to my doctor and he'll help me decide what I need
to be
doing," end of story.

Hi, Kathleen,
I wouldn't pay any attention to what that neighbor says. If she says
anything more, just tell her it's none of her business what you do.
Maybe she'll stop making weird remarks if you don't pay attention to

Yes I'm going to talk to the doctor next month. I'm getting really
frustrated.
But my
neighbor down the hall that brings me food sometimes got me kind of
annoyed. She
said to me why are you going to have the surgery you're going to have
to go into
a rehab center. I said no way. And even my therapist said no way too.
She said I
deserve to have Karen home. She said I didn't belong in one of those
places. But
yes I'm cutting my therapy down to one day a week. When the weather
clears up I
may assist ham operator friend of mine from Queens to come over and
help me sort
stuff. Maybe he can do that I don't know. That is if his wife doesn't
get upset
about it. But their stuff I still need to sort out and all that kind
of thing.
If you can help me with that that would be a big help. But yes I want
to move
over to Stuyvesant town and be in the temporary apartment. I don't
want to be in
a nursing home. I don't think
I'
ll need a caregiver that long. But at least if I get somebody nicebe good too. Whatever I have is very small for what the orthopedist
that'll
told me. You
said it's not going to be that difficult to fix. But I'm having
trouble doing
things like changing the bed. And I did that a couple nights ago and
let's just
say a few words that shouldn't of come out did. But I can still put
things in
the washer. I have trouble taking them out of the dryer because you
have to
reach way back in the back. Doing the washer is not that difficult. We
have a
front loader so that makes it easier.

Hi, Kathleen,
I heard about the snow storm you're having and it's awful. I don't
blame
you for staying inside. That's a wise thing to do. I agree about
getting
the banana bread. It's not worth getting injured just because you

As far as getting the surgery, I don't blame you for wanting to get
it
done now. The sooner you get it done, the sooner you can get back to
doing normal activities.
