Rosie I'm glad you're not having anymore problems with Safeway. I remember when
you were having tons of problems with access for them. Because you want to just
order stuff when you had trouble doing it. What a pain in the neck. Linda I'm
sorry your brother has Parkinson's disease. That's kind of a bummer. Well let's
put it this way. All the subways it run aboveground are stopped. All the bus
services stopped. All the trains to go north of the city will be stopped to.
The trains going out to Long Island will be stopped also and I don't want
anybody with their personal cars driving on the streets of the roads either.
And if they're caught doing it they're going to get fined. I don't think a
travel ban will be lifted until tomorrow. And then they're saying maybe by
Tuesday were going to get rain. Just what we really don't need to. But that's
just how that goes. Well I just had two cans of fruit cocktail. It was very
good. The only thing was I should've put it in the refrigerator and I didn't.
Oh well warm fruit that's OK. But it tasted very good. I haven't had that in a
while. The other thing I found out was I had government alerts turned on on my
iPhone. Well I got one but I couldn't figure out how to read it. And while the
tone was going my phone wouldn't talk either. So I thought something happened
to it and so I asked a friend of mine. I was almost tempted to turn those off
but I thought better of it. But anyway this other ham operator out in Queens
wants to give me a couple more radios. So we'll see what happens. Hopefully
I'll be able to use them. He has a couple he doesn't want and he said he wants
and he wants to give them to me I talked to him on the radio until my hands got
tired. This gentleman knows a friend of mine. So maybe he can come over and
help me pack stuff I don't know. But I told him I had to have surgery and he
said he hoped I could avoid it and I said no I don't think so. But anyway I'm
just relaxing today. Just listening to QVC on TV. So that's basically how that
goes. Believe it or not they're having a gardening social selling plants. Right
in the middle of what a snowstorm they're selling plants that's crazy.

Speaking of Safeway,lately they've had everything I have asked for. I think a
year ago I had a problem with them not having everything in stock but I put

what I need is getting worse and worse about stocking things.
Sure hope you get that banana bread soon. I know how much you're hankering
for
it.
We ought to be dry tomorrow, and I may go out for breakfast tomorrow early.

I heard about the snow storm you're having and it's awful. I don't blame
you for staying inside. That's a wise thing to do. I agree about getting
the banana bread. It's not worth getting injured just because you have a
craving for something. You can always get it on another day.
As far as getting the surgery, I don't blame you for wanting to get it
done now. The sooner you get it done, the sooner you can get back to
doing normal activities.

Well
onto another subject, we're getting a lot of snow here. And I think it's that
heavy wet stuff too. And I'm not going outside either. The streets are
slippery
and forget about that. No way am I go going outside. I don't need to. Well I
think I found a place here in New York City where I can get banana bread. But
that's going to wait. It's not that important to go outside and get injured
to
go get it. But anyway I've just been relaxing. I don't really feel like doing
much else. I finished the book on cassette last night and I started another
one.
So that's the way that goes. But I've cut my therapy down to once a week. My
therapist wanted me to do that she said the reason she wanted me to cut it
back
with so I'm running out of my sessions.
You
only get 25 and then they run out. Going to therapy clinic or the doctorhas to ask for more. I go to the doctor on to what 11 February or maybe I'll
go
a few days early. I think I'm going to talk to him about having the surgery.
I'm
getting really uncomfortable with this and I think I need to do it now. And
I'll
be glad when it's over with. But I really miss doing stuff with my ham radio
buddies that's really bugging me.

during five seasons of the sitcom "Bachelor Father," died Friday in Van
Nuys, Calif.. She was 72. The cause was cardiopulmonary disease, her niece
Mell Corcoran said. Ms. Corcoran was 13 when she was cast to play Kelly
Gregg in "New Girl in His Life," a May 1957 episode of the "General
Electric
Theater," a CBS anthology series hosted by Ronald Reagan. She played a girl
whose parents were killed in an automobile accident and was sent to live
with her wealthy bachelor uncle in Beverly Hills. The following September,
the story line continued with the series "Bachelor Father," with John
Forsythe - who would go on to star in "Dynasty" - playing her uncle, and
his
houseboy, played by Sammee Tong. The show aired for two seasons on CBS,
before moving to NBC and th en ABC in subsequent seasons; it was canceled
in
1962. Ms. Corcoran was born on Oct. 20, 1943, in Quincy, Mass., to Kathleen
and William Henry Corcoran. Her family moved to Southern California, where
her father worked in a maintenance position at MGM Studios. Ms. Corcoran,
like most of her seven siblings, went into acting. A younger brother Kevin,
a child actor for Walt Disney who appeared in "Old Yeller," died in October
at 66. In 1953, she appeared in "Young Bess," a film about Queen Elizabeth
I, in which she played the monarch as a child. After "Bachelor Father," she
had a starring role in the 1965 movie "The Girls on the Beach" and appeared
