There are new changes coming, according to doc 1461941.992, but whenever
I click on the IE-only link to "Play overview", I get "OID connection
misconfigured or other error detected. Please notify the system
administrator."  I get this with any browser.

Not really giving me the warm fuzzies...

Anyone want to start a pool on when Metalink will start offering RSS
feeds for new/updated articles, scripts. bugs etc...Why do I still need
to log in to see this stuff? DANG!

However, they are going to give us new sign out capability! How very
90's! And TAR is going to be SR, WOW! What an improvment!

OK, enough of that. Please post your gripes, complaints about metalink
here. I watched the demo of the new UI and I am not even sure it is an
improvments unless you are a new user, I am sure it is easier for new
users and things will likely be the same for more experienced users. 

What would you like to see?
   * RSS Feeds for just about everything.
   * Automated searches which will email me with updates, or provide RSS
feed.
   * better search, just buy a dang Google engine

What do you hate?
   * new design requires too many keystrokes to navigate/see
information.
   * UI looks clunky, talk to the folks that do main Oracle site, it is
much better
   * all manual
   * looks 10 years behind the times

What could be done to make it better?
   * I quote from the presentation "We are excited about the new sign
out capability", that fact that you are excited about a obvious feature
that has been around for 10+ years on 99% of all sites with "sign in" is
scary, you could so almost everything better.

   * when I open a "SR" I want to know the second someone looks at it,
as soon as the email chain goes back and forth 3 times with stuff like
"did you check the alert log" I want ticket automatically escalated and
I want the ability to rate the people I work with, I want to see all of
his/her ratings for the last 60-90 days and when I click the "this guy
is no help" checkbox it will get escalated more quickly if his/her
ratings are lower than average.

   * I want to know how long the person I am talking to has worked with
Oracle and in what capacity, I want to know how many issues they are
dealing with currently, I want to know what thier hours are in my time
zone.

   * I want a thing like Amazon.com where when I am working with one
support rep it says "Other users who worked with Jack found that Sue
solved their problem, click here to request help from Sue."

   * I want the ability to comment on any article/script/bug etc...
   * If I comment on an item, I want the option to get an email the next
time someone else comments.

Well enough of my rant. Would appreciate the thoughts of others however.
