But in a PAL only studio, you would have some boxes labelled "Pal mixer", and in a SECAM only studio you would have this other "SECAM mixer" box, and composite SECAM running all around. From the point of view of the operator, it does not make much difference. Now clearly, inside the box, you have to do demod / remod for SECAM. Only, you don't have to do it all the way down to component, you can work with a kind of Y +UV or S-video -like scheme, close to the modulated signal, so that remodulation can be done with minimal effort (as discussed in another thread of the forum). And what about color adjustments, by the way ?
