Note however that LG said they could sell their ATSC
STB for $50 retail, didn't they? If these folk
wholesale theirs at $33, the retail price can't be
expected to be much different from LG's quote.

Oh, right, and this company does in fact retail their
box, with their own logo on it, for $55.

Ah, but that's SD.

So what's all the fuss about? It's not about
modulation. It's about quantities. Or, perhaps, Dale
is right and the umbillical TV service providers
"got" to them too!
