Joel generally beat you to it. There is the track_comment function. You can
add a comment to a track, yet not to different versions, or perhaps even tat?
They work on the current track:
add_comment (ac) "comment"
show_comment (sc)
show_comments (scs) - display all track comments
remove_comment (rc?)
So there you go.
