Hi Pruscoe and Andrew,

Yes, it prints in landscape mode. The laser printer is the Samsung
L-2010 -- about $90.

I don't think so. Counting my FAX machine, I have eight printers defined
within my LAN. The Page Setup tabs are independent of the printer I ultimately
select.

I'm using 11x17 paper printed one side at a time. As I indicated in my
previous post, I did use the Folded Booklet function, and it works great for
documents that have multiples of four pages. All I must do is invert the even
numbered sheets and copy them to the reverse side of the odd numbered sheets.

For a six-page or a ten-page document, however, the Folded Booklet function
leaves two sheets half blank, and the half blank is on the wrong sheets. For
example, the first sheet should have page 6 at left and page 1 at right.
Instead, I get the left half blank and page 6 at right. Folded Booklet also
doesn't provide a way for the center pair of pages to get special treatment.
In a six page document, pages 3 and 4 should each go onto 8-1/2x11 paper.

I still think Folded Booklet is the correct function for this job, however,
I'm wondering if Word 2002 contains additional options to cause Folded Booklet
to produce booklets that don't have multiples of four pages (such as 6- or 10-
or 14-pages etc.).

Maybe I ought to be looking for some plug-in for Word or even a separate
formatting application. I have Publisher running on a different computer, and
I'm not at all familiar with Publisher. Can I accomplish my goal by importing
the finished Word document into Publisher? Does Publisher handle Folded
Booklets of 6, 10, 14 pages?

Thanks, Andrew, for the tip about page numbers on each side of the sheets
always adding up to one more than the number of pages.

Ray Shapp
