Thanks for that John.
This particular model is in 1.5" scale, and I would guess that it is 50+ 
years old.

I am not aware of any design for that engine in that, or a similar scale, so 
where did the builder get the design?
Of course, he might have made his own castings, but even so, would have 
needed srawings to work to.

Does anyone have any other ideas?

LBSC produced a design for a simple single cylinder, spirit fired D3 in
2½" gauge (Victoria)
