No, there is nothing that you can do about it. XP won't let you format hard drives as FAT. You can only use FAT as a file system on flash disks, and, I think, floppies. You might be able to get the Motif to format the hard drive. You'd do this from File mode on the Motif. I have no idea how this works, though. This is one reason why I encourage people to use flash disks. Also, if you'll be taking your data with you on a gig, a flash disk is a much more road worthy piece of equipment. Most of them can be dropped, left in direct sunlight, and washed with out breaking. Neither hard drives nor CD/DVDs will hold up like that.
