No, there is nothing that you can do about it. XP won't let you format
hard drives as FAT. You can only use FAT as a file system on flash
disks, and, I think, floppies.

You might be able to get the Motif to format the hard drive. You'd do
this from File mode on the Motif. I have no idea how this works, though.

This is one reason why I encourage people to use flash disks. Also, if
you'll be taking your data with you on a gig, a flash disk is a much
more road worthy piece of equipment. Most of them can be dropped, left
in direct sunlight, and washed with out breaking. Neither hard drives
nor CD/DVDs will hold up like that.

Subject: [MoAccess] I only get ntfs format option when using usb hard
drive!

Hi list members, As you well know, i have a u s b hard drive. The
problem is that i only seem to be able to get ntfs as the format of
choice. I'm not sure if there is anything that i can do about it. This
is the format option that shows. There are no other format choices
available The other thing is that when the new hard wizard starts, i
don't have a choice. Could there be something that i'm missing? If so,
please let me know. Thank you.
