Tell me about it. I just had a 40gb portable hard drive quit on me with all my playlists that I use for in between sets on it, among other things. Unfortunately, they don't make flash disks that big yet. I could get by with 10gb or so for my mp3 library though. No, there is nothing that you can do about it. XP won't let you format hard drives as FAT. You can only use FAT as a file system on flash disks, and, I think, floppies. You might be able to get the Motif to format the hard drive. You'd do this from File mode on the Motif. I have no idea how this works, though. This is one reason why I encourage people to use flash disks. Also, if you'll be taking your data with you on a gig, a flash disk is a much more road worthy piece of equipment. Most of them can be dropped, left in direct sunlight, and washed with out breaking. Neither hard drives nor CD/DVDs will hold up like that. Hi list members, As you well know, i have a u s b hard drive. The problem is that i only seem to be able to get ntfs as the format of choice. I'm not sure if there is anything that i can do about it. This is the format option that shows. There are no other format choices available The other thing is that when the new hard wizard starts, i don't have a choice. Could there be something that i'm missing? If so, please let me know. Thank you.
