Well, I think we have to talk about that on the audio list or I'll get in trouble with Keith and David. <lol> But the short answer is...um...I think
with SL it will be much easier.

Jury's still out, but it's definitely more accessible than 8. It looks
quite similir to GB5 I think.

I can't answer the questions but I have one for you. How is Logic 9 with
VO?

Hmmm...If you use superduper you can make a perfect clone of your hd.
But,
of course, when you install SL, you won't want everything that superduper copied. So in order to do a clean install, do you have to manually
backup
the documents and music you want, copy it to the clean SL drive, and then
go
re-install all your programs from their respective cds?
I'm just thinking about aps such as GB4 that I may not still have the
disc
for. And I'd also love to avoid re-installing all two billion discs of Logic 8 and the Logic 9 upgrade. So I guess I'm asking if there's a way
to
clone my current hd on superduper and then select the aps, etc. that I'd like to have moved? And then leave all the rest of the junk behind?
I've
never found such a possibility with superduper, but perhaps it exists.
And
this is probably a really "duh" question. Thanks.

I on the other hand running bootcmp with only a bit over 14gb of space available before the install did the upgrade and all the junk on my
compute
seems fine.

The clean install makes your computer faster, and it's smaller, with know bits of leopard all over the place. But it depends how much you've put on your mac. If you have loads of rubbish that's slowing it down, do a clean install. If you don't, and your mac's running perfectly fine with enough
space left, don't bother.

Are people noticing any differences between upgrading and a clean
install of snow leopard? I did the upgrade but if I wanted to try a clean install now, I could update superduper and do a backup and then try the clean install. Just wondering if the experiment is really a
good use of my time or not.
