Since upgrading to Sierra I’ve had a lot of busy notifications, especially in
Mail. In addition to hearing the busy alert, it’s really slow reacting when I
delete messages. Like if I hit delete, the whole message line is read before
the cursor moves to the next line of the in-box. That’s often where Mail goes
busy, when I delete one message and try to arrow down to find a subsequent
message.
Thoughts on optimal settings, what could be causing the slow down?
If it helps with the pondering, I’m using Mail with a Gmail account, and I do
have over 10,000 messages in my in box. I’ll try disableing my main accountto
see if I have the same problem with a less substantial message list.
