Jenny, you have to interact with the sources table with the
shift-VO-down arrow combination. in this table you will find things like TV, movies, tones, radiostream, etcetera. usually in row 19 near the bottom of the sources table is where you find the internet playlist. once you have located it, expand it with the right arrow. If the source is not expanded properly, use the VO-backslash keys to expand or open the list in the internet playlist table. use the up or down arrow keys to find the URLs in the list where you can either click on them to listen to them or use the backspace key to delete the URL's from the internet playlist.

if you look in your download folder you may find M3U files that have already been downloaded when you listened to the stream on the original website. you may keep them or delete them as you wish. maybe someone else may take a crack at explaining how all this works for you filling in the details I might have left out.
good luck.

remember that using a Mac is like using a different type stove, gas and electric have there virtues and attributes, you can get the job done but it takes a little learning and experimentation. be patient.

I know this may sound a little dumb to you. But, I don't know how to maneuver I tunes very well.

Can you tell me how to find and get to that URL place please?

You are only adding it to the internet playlist in iTunes. all you need to do is go to the sources list to internet playlist and delete the URL. you never know when you may want to listen to something again. it doesn't hurt anything being their.

I think iTunes is quite versatile myself, but that is why there are different strokes for different folks.

I don't appreciate having to open I tunes, when it's not open in the first place since I am on the web, or a download, and then having to delete, delete, delete things that I didn't authorize it to put on my hard drive to begin with.

If I wanted it in my I tunes library, I'd put it there.

I don't think you can quick look more than one file at a time. I don't think you can quicklook a file off the web.

I have no idea what ther is to hate about the highly flexible, useful and versatile itunes. I've used a number of media content managers and it's the best and most accessible one on the planet. it's easy to remove something from itunes after it's been played and you are finished with it. Further, the itunes interface makes it easy to skip through an audio file in either direction in chunks or via fast forward or rewind.

OK, but when you want to quicklook several files at once, do you just select all the files you want to quick look and then hit spacebar?

I am using it to read religious materials and such that I get off the web, and sometimes, I just play it from the web. What do I do then?

this only prevents copying, the items are still in itunes. if you can quicklook them, they will not appear in itunes.

I play things from my religious website that are audio books and things of that nature.

I don't want to have to go and delete them from I tunes every time I play them.

There's gotta be a way to make it to where everything you play doesn't end up there.

Also, there are check marks beside things that are on my playlist that I want there. What do they mean. What does it mean if I uncheck them?
