"Thoughtful". I like that. I don't know what to think of it, but I like
it. I also like Nader. No, that's not true. I worship Nader. Nader is
the one true God.

A.A. Sorry to hear it.

M.G. Only problem is, he won't be a commodity. Refuses to be.

A.A. Right. He's too busy being important. He cares enough about his mission
to support those diametrically opposed to what he claims to stand for.

M.G. What the fuck, Ralph? That's what America's all about. Jesus, get a
grip.
Sell out.

A.A. He did, to his own ego.

M.G. Crimminy. This is a greed-driven culture and you're in the thick
of it, suck up to it, man, like Kerry does. Like Clinton did, and Gore,
Bush I, Bush II, like Nixon and Ike did.

A.A. Before one can govern, one has to be elected. Got any better ideas on how
to do it?

M.G. It's all about money, hunny. It
always has been and it always will be.

A.A. Wrong. It's all about power. If it was about money, these people would
be in industry. The Fed Chairman used to make somewhere in the area of
$100,000. Peanuts. They're there for the power.

M.G. Kerry will kill the environment less
quickly, that's true, but kill it he will for a buck, and he'll sell out the
working people to global trade just as he'll continue shoveling money into
the military-industrial complex simply because that's the engine running
this country. Kerry, Bush -- is there really any difference? Kerry is less
offensive to my sensibilities, Bush just seems less a human being.

A.A. Or maybe he's more a human being, if to be human is to err. Kerry is more
mechanical, more rational. When he's not being human.

M.G. Nader,
however, is cut from a different cloth. If this were a different (i.e.,
poetic) world, Nader would be king.

A.A. No doubt Nader says that to himself every morning when shaving. He just
leaves out poetic. He's not fussy.
