Andy said:
"Do you really think Democrats are as bad as Republicans in environmental
matters? The Sierra Club supports Kerry."

Veronica says: Of course not. I am intending to vote for Kerry and
Democratic Congressional representatives and judges. I will vote for one
Republican for regent of one of our universities.

I am NOT asking anyone to vote for Nader. I think Nader is a zealot as is
willing to sacrifice the rest of us to four more years of this idiocy.
I was only trying to say that if he is a spoiler, which he might very well
turn out to be, he is my enemy. But a lot of what he says is true.
A lot of improvement in American life has been due to people on the
fringes, which is where labor unions, the idea of Medicare and Social
Security benefits were at one time.

Example: I get a letter from Hillary Clinton asking me to contribute to the
Democratic Party. This is the same week in which she and other Democrats
are shown being wined and dined and lobbied by corporations of everything
and anything. A few weeks later, Zell Miller is going nuts at the
Republican Convention telling everyone to vote for Bush, even though he is
a Democrat from Georgia. I contribute to individual candidates for every
office that takes a lot of money, but not the party.

In my fantasies I see or hope Nader throwing his support to Kerry. He says
he is asking his supporters to only vote for him in those states that are
safe for Bush. Who knows? At this point I don't even believe the polls.
But I am absolutely not voting for Nader and wish no one would. I didn't
vote for him the last time either, and I wish no one had. But it's worth
listening to him.

Veronica
