I'm not sure what you are breaking silence about, Joerg,
though I'm glad to hear from such an erudite silent critic.
Surely you are aware that tropical diseases are spreading
into the subtropics and temperate climates?
Surely you are not writing to support the proliferation of
the various tropical parasitic and neoplastic diseases? You
are surely not a friend of hanta virus, Chagas Disease,
malaria, Filariasis, Dengue fever, Cutaneous Larva Migrans,
or Leishmaniasis--just to name a few?
As for pests--pure pests who do things dirty and off the
books--you are strangely silent about the Chinese. Why the
selective condemnation? The Chinese are all over Africa, for
example, and confine themselves to purely mercantilist
relations with their host countries. No hospital ships in
their imagined Mongol future....hell, not even token
gestures to environmental compliance...just minimal
standards for return on investment and brutality when need
be and never reported.
