It may be "ain't so bad after all" if you're bicycling into somebody else's office and working on their machines. Reality check on expenses: 1) keeping hardware and software current 2) working space rent 3) un-billable time to manage business (invoice, statements, collections, sales) 4) paper, supplies, filing, utilities, ad nauseam after all is said and done you'll be lucky to end up with $2 or $3 an hour to buy coffee, rice and beans.
