  These are different settings, reached by hitting insert plus v while in the 
application.  Each one can be toggled or otherwise changed by pressing the 
space bar while on it.  You can see all of them by using the up/down arrow 
keys.  They are automatically saved when you choose the close button.

    While in Outlook I hit insert f2 then picked configuration manager. 

    Under advance, there is no Screen Messages item``

    Jaws says

    Not in calendar view. But the calander is right there.

    Not sure if my previous message got through.

     

    Check your verbosity settings. If you're using advanced like I am then you 
and I had the same problem.

     

    Make sure that the Screen Messages item is checked in the advanced 
verbosity settings in the configuration manager.

     

    Or just use Intermediate or Beginner.

     

    Also make sure you're set for day/week/month in the Current View and using  
the week display in the view menu.

      When I hit insert plus "a" jaws says week view or day view. Depending 
upon which view I'm in.

      Also, the Jaws key insert control "d" says the same thing.

      When according to Jaws help, it should say the current day selection.

      What version of Jaws are you using?  Jaws 9 is where I added the calendar 
support for 2007.

        What if you hit Insert+Escape, then left and right.  Also try Alt+Tab, 
then again to re-enter the application.

          That is exactly my problem.

          Arrowing left or right does not give me the current dat. Even the

          In outlook 2007 which I am using. Have the view set to day week 
month. Then I can errow left and right and it will announce the date and how 
many appointments etc. you can not errow up and down. It does not do that to 
change weeks. Just keep doing left and right. If you wish to check a date down 
the road or in the past you can go to the view menu and go to date and follow 
the prompts. Now when on a date and there is appointments, etc. hit tab and it 
will go to the hour info and announce the time and appointment. Hit tab again 
and it will go to the next appointment if there are morn then one if not it 
will go back to the date. This is a continous loop function.

          While using Office 2002 I would right arrow and jaws would announce 
what day I was on.

          This way, I could tell if anything was booked during the week.

          Even the short cut keys under the Jaws help will not work.

           

          Does one have to change anything under  settings for Outlook or Jaws.
