hi friend,

if you are using windows XP and your windows is set to classic start menu,
when you press this keystroke "windows key and a letter d", you will then
bring to start menu and documents submenu. You can try this...

remember, is win key and a letter d not hold down win key and a letter d. it
means, you must release the win key.

stop topic, not jFW related topic.

How about yours? Win key + D takes you to what place?

hi Jouie!

Don't always guess the problem, you must ensure to what you are saying. If
you always only guessing and give instruction to people, you will easily
give people in to trouble.

Now my question, have you tried the keystroke that you wrote just now? I
mean press and hold down the windows key and press the letter "p". Is this
keystroke work on your computer?.

Hey, that brings you to desktop. I guess she means press and hold the win
key, and press P.

hi Judith,

windows key and a letter "p" will open you program submenu in start menu not
the document submenu. The correct one is windows key and a letter "d".

Do you have word set to start at start up? Also, when I want a document,
lets say "phone directory" all I have to do is hit the windows key, the
letter P and jaws will read the other often used documents starting with the
letter P in an instant access folder and my phone directory will open. This
feature stores about 20 often used documents. At any rate, word should be
set to open at start up so you can access whatever document you want be it
by the instant access feature or from your "my documents" folder. hth,
Judith
