You need to get the ms word program or the ms office sueit that your word was installed in and do a repair, and if that oes not work, make sure your files are saved and uninstall the ms office software through the cd uninstall and re install it. hth -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Troy Burnham Sent: Thursday, March 02, 2006 05:38 To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: opening a Word document in MSWord 2000 using Jaws I'm running Windows-XP home with Jaws 7, but I can't tell you whether or not this was happening with past versions of Jaws or not because I haven't had occasion to do this very often until recently. I don't use anything else besides MSWord so I don't know if this occurs with other types of documents or not. As far as reformatting the computer, no I haven't done that because that seems like kind of a drastic measure for something that is more of a nuissance than a problem. I'm assuming that this is a Jaws problem although I can't pinpoint when this all started, can anybody tell me why if I open Word first and then pull up the document I can read it without a problem but if I hit enter on the document and let Word open automatically I have to restart Jaws before I can read the document? Thanks.
