From what I understand, Safe mode isn't accessible. Judy----- Original Message ----- From: "Yadiel Sotomayor" <yadosotomayor@xxxxxxxxxxx>

?I think that you have done this already, but just to make sure. Try looking on the avg program folder on the start menu. There is (at least for most programs, I don't use avg, so I don't know) a uninstal feature there. Try using that. If that won't work try looking on the program folder on the local disk, E.G C:\program files\ AVG. Try looking for a uninstal.exe file. If that doesn't work try opening task manager and see if there are any AVG processes running. If so end the process and try again. If that doesn't work that means one of two things. Or AVG must be uninstal using the administrator account of the computer or you must enter save mode in order to uninstal AVG. Frankly I don't know if Save mode is accessible with jaws.-------------------------------------------------- From: "Farfar Carlson" <dgcarlson@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, December 15, 2010 2:40 PM To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: Problems Removing AVG 2011Ray, It may still be running, and refusing to uninstall due to that fact, even though you removed the startup in MSConfig (good idea, that!). Have you actually run the AVG UI and looked for anything there that would stop it running, and then go to Control Panel, etc. Dave Composed on a Dell Latitude 630 in the general vicinity of my Audio Recording and Mixing Studios, San Francisco Bay Area.----- Original Message ----- From: "Ray Campbell" <ray.campbell@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>; "Technology list for the Blind and Vision Impaired"<blindtech@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, December 15, 2010 10:30 Subject: Problems Removing AVG 2011 Hello All:I was in a JAWS Tandem session with a client, attempting to help her removeAVG 2011. She's running JAWS 11 on a Windows Vista laptop. We simply cannot get AVG 2011 removed from her system. I went into control panel, then Programs and Features, arrowed down to the AVG 2011 icon and hit alt-fto go to the file menu, then, u for uninstall. The User Account Control came up, and we hit continue on it. The program did not uninstall. I went into msconfig and disabled the program at startup, then, afterre-starting the computer, tried uninstalling AVG 2011 again. It still won'tuninstall. Anyone have any ideas?
