Hi Marijan,

I'm running Jaws 9 and Word 2003, and although I have a host of complaints
about Jaws 9 which I'm trying to work out with FS tech support, Jaws
performance in Word 2003 isn't one of the problems. I'm not experiencing any
of what you or one other lister I remember describing.

Good luck improving this situation.

Hi!
Speaking of MS Word, I just installed Jaws 9.0,519 and found out that jaws
doesn't read anything in Word2003. I tryed letter by letter, word by word,
paragraph by paragraph, but it doesn't help. After that I recompiled the .
jss script but nothing happens . Does anybody faced similar situation and
knows the medicine?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Adrian Spratt said the following on 13.01.2008 00:53:
JAWS has a global solution to this problem. Press insert-4 (that's the 4
on the number row above the letter keys) to bring up a list of symbols. If
your system is like mine, one press of "n" will bring up the character that
you seek to create with two keys. Just press enter and it will be inserted
in your text at the focus point.

Incidentally, I still use WordPerfect, and happily so.

    Hi, I have a question.

When I was working a very long time ago (grin) I used Wordperfect.
There was a way to type two characters on top of each other. I think it was
called "strikeover". Does anyone know how to do this in MS Word? I have
searched the help screens and find no answer. I am of the opinion that the
help area in 2003 is worse instead of better than previous versions. I need
to type an "n" with a tilda over it. This trick can come in handy every
once in a while. Thank you. Linda
