Hey Rick,I get messages with the kind of attachments you are talking about even though I turned off the AVG outgoing notification. In fact, I got one today with that kind of attachment and I am running JAWS 8.0. I also don't know whether the sender has his/her notification turned on or not, but it appears as though they don't because there is no message at the bottom of the email saying that it had been scanned by AVG.

I've fixed AVG 7.5 here to not do that and still sometimes I get false attachment messages here. So my guess is that Jaws still plays some role in this. What it usually means is a virus checker has added one of those "checked by blablabla" messages. It is a real attachment, just, not one you can use for anything, which means JAWS is doing what it should. bruce-- JFW related links: JFW homepage: http://www.freedomscientific.com/ Scripting mailing list: http://lists.the-jdh.com/listinfo.cgi/scriptography-the-jdh.com JFW List instructions: To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
