Hi Paul.

As a first step, get her to go to the inbox and go to the file menu. select the folder option and choose compact all folders. This may help sort out any corrupted messages.

Graham

Subject: [jaws-uk] computer query

HI all,

Please could anyone help.

I am asking this question on behalf of a friend who is not currently on this
list and is desperate to try and solve this one.

She is using Windows xP, JAWS 6.0 and Outlook Express.

She regularly e-mails several family members who live abroad.

Recently, she received several e-mails from them which she has listened to
but despite her deleting them, when she opens outlook, those two messages
are still in her inbox and she can't get rid of them.

When she closes outlook, she gets some kind of tasks page up which says
something like "searching for Messages, 3 of 6".

she has tried to get help from several people but without any luck and is
understandably lothed to contact her ISP who I believe use an 0870 number
for their computer support service.

Hope this info is detailed enough and should anyone be able to shed any
light on this and make suggestions then that would be very much appreciated.

Regards

Paul.
