"What does FS Tandem do that MS Remote Access doesn't?"

Well I think Andrew has already put it very well. Essentially it allows
JAWS users at each end of the connection work collaboratively. The
other advantages are that it is a solution that comes ready to go with
JAWS 10. There are other solutions that will let you into a remote PC
including JAWS Remote Acess via RDP or CITRIX, but the latter are harder
to set up and are not all of them designed for the kind of task that
Tandem is set up for to start with.

To make the difference clear, if you were working somewhare but worked
from home some days but still needed access to your work machine you
would probably go down the Remote Desktop (RDP) or CITRIX route if there
were company centralised resources you needed to access.

By contrast if you had a friend who you wanted to help out or be helped
out by who had no experience and had not specifically set up their
machine but at least had an Internet connection and JAWS then JAWS
Tandem is a very fine solution.

Hi Brian,

Good question, but I'm going to let Tristram answer, since
he has more of the facts to hand.

George.

Dear George and List:

What does FS Tandem do that MS Remote Access doesn't?

You've got me curious.

My ISP uses a plug-in from Logmein123.com to provide remote
access to my PC.

It didn't seem to mess up Jaws either.
