The only updates done to the cache are forwarding lookups and DHCP server updates. Both of those are entered in at the PDC, the DHCP entries are replicated via AD, and the forwarded lookups are passed from the PDC to the DNS making the request. ________________________________ From: Steve Moffat [mailto:steve@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, February 28, 2005 16:50 To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: Interesting problem... http://www.ISAserver.org Correct me if I'm wrong,...:)), but your AD zones are the only thing that is kept in dns, each DNS server maintains it's own cache. Anyways, I'm thinking about removing and re-installing the DNS servers, as they are acting very flaky. Not a good thing with ISA, as everything seems to ride on it. Heck, I changed one entry this afternoon, and it knocked out a few dozen computers until the zone updates went through! ________________________________ The haggis is unusual in that it is neither consistently nocturnal nor diurnal, but instead is active at dawn and dusk (crepuscular), with occasional forays forth during the day and night. ________________________________
