Ok; to reiterate: DO NOT DDISABLE THE FIREWALL SERVICE Quit applying ISA 2000 misconceptions to ISA 2004. Install ISA 2004, choose the "single network adapter" template and leave the rest to the code that handles it. ..you'll break your ISA and leave yourself paying for the PSS call. So what you're saying is that the firewall *service* in ISA 2004 cannot be disabled. OK, but I simply don't want to use the firewall in ISA 2004... To re-iterate: my issue is with Surfcontrol Web Filter which can't pick up user names from Active Directory (under Citrix Metaframe). I need to enable ISA 2004 in caching-only mode (according to Surfcontrol). Does anyone know how different it is to *set up caching only in 2004* compared to 2000? Has anyone done this? This is on unihomed ISA 2000... "You don't have to use ISA Server as a firewall. Many organizations already have firewalls in place that they've spend big money on, and they're not interested in wasting the tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars they've spent on their existing firewalls. Other companies may be interested in using ISA Server as a firewall, but they're not quite sure yet if they can trust it. Still other companies are very happy with the firewall they're using, but they'd like to take advantage of ISA Server's advanced Web Proxy service that allows both outbound access control and Web Publishing." http://www.isaserver.org/tutorials/unihomedisa1.html - Seán Carr ___________________________________________________________ALL-NEW Yahoo!
